Owner
Mike Dameron
Mike founded Windmill Hill Design Build in 2013 after over a decade of working in the residential construction industry for both production and custom home builders, building more than 125 homes in the Cities of Alexandria and Arlington, Virginia. He leveraged this experience to craft the ideal design-build process and develop one of the most reputable Design Build firms in the area.
Mike continues to be involved in day to day operations both on job site and collaborating with clients. He specializes in site acquisition and development and managing the design-build process from start to finish.
Mike is an Alexandria transplant from the Pacific Northwest and holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction from Virginia Tech’s Department of Architecture and Urban Studies. He is the father of three daughters and a big supporter of the City of Alexandria. He was recently awarded the City of Alexandria's 40 Under 40 award.

Leigh Dameron
As Co-Owner of Windmill Hill, Leigh manages the brand and the overall design aesthetic that has come to represent our Company. She oversees and selects all of the interior and exterior finishes for Windmill Hill's spec homes by partnering with our architect and our vendors to ensure the houses honor the neighborhood.

Leigh’s design aesthetic comes from a long lineage of designers and artists. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Tech in International Studies.

Director of Construction
Madison Weitekamp
Madison came to Windmill Hill as a native to the City of Alexandria and with experience managing large-scale construction sites in Commercial Construction. He became an immediate asset to our team as a natural and skilled project manager. He provides oversight on all of job sites, coordinates with sub contractors and works directly with clients and designers alike. Madison is in the field daily, moving the schedule forward, communicating with the office and clients and finding resolutions. His rare blend of foreseeing potential issues, solving problems, and the unique combination of being a go-getter and laid back creates a work environment loved by our team, our sub-contractors and our clients.
Madison has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Syracuse University where he rowed for the University. He is a certified Rowing Coach and can be found on local and afar mountain bike trails during his down time.
Designer
Jillian Penndorf
Jillian is our in-house lead designer with a meticulous and carefully curated eye. She works with clients to understand their style and wishlist and then helps create a cohesive and beautiful design for all of the custom finishes while maintaining awareness of budget. She is uniquely qualified for this position with a background and degree in Architecture combined with six years of design experience.

In addition to being a designer, Jillian is a true artist. She completes hand drawn renderings for our clients so they can better see their vision before it comes to reality in the field.
Lead Carpenter
Edgar Lopez
Edgar is our lead carpenter who completes all punch out in the field, which means he ensures we finish our houses in the best possible way. He is the master of everything, can solve any problem and make our homes beautiful. Edgar has been a trusted employee and companion of the Windmill Hill team for over a decade.
